"Learning never exhausts the mind. " - Leonardo da Vinci Our symbol is the Ford, which symbolizes, perseverence, and determination. We didn't have a physical mascot, so our team decided to build one. The result is one of the greatest things ever turned out by the Haverford high school robotics club. This page chroniclies the building process of our robot mascot, Henry. It will walk you through the journey of the robots contruction, step by step.
This image shows some of the basic electrical components used in Henry. [top] Here is a short gallery showing the stages of construction. Starting with a cardboard mock up, then with the construction of the body, and ending with the finished bot. The team of students who built this robot have been very pleased with the results, and it performed very well at our school pep rally, which you can see farher down the page
Here is Henry at our schools pep rally. this was our grand reveal, and as you can see, it was a big hit with the students. We demonstarted the robots ability to do wheelies, spins, and use its horn and lights. Our school prinicpal surely enjoyed Henry's display as well, especially because he was right in the middle of it! Henry was a great project for both our club and our school, and the club would like to thank all the peoplel who contributed their time and effort to help us get this wonderful robot together. Our mentors, the painter, and the body worker all contributed many free hours of their time to help the club, in addition to our members.
